IOOF Cemetery

This is the investigation and research of the IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows)
cemetery in Georgetown TX.
PIE does not as a rule investigate cemeteries. we feel most cemeteries are not actively haunted. Most activity is found where a person lived or died
traumatically. People are not interned until several days after their death thus we have found through early experience
cemeteries are usually serene peaceful places to visit and remember the contributions of the deceased.
We approach all research trips with reverence and respect.
When investigating a public location such as a cemetery always obtain permission
from the owners or the local police. Make sure this is written permission. Anyone questioning your
presence can be assured you have permission to be at the location.
Also note most cemeteries have a curfew and without permission you could be arrested for trespassing.
The IOOF came to our attention through our participation with another group. The Texas Spirits Research Team. One of the
previous leaders set up a newbie investigation and selected the IOOF as a location to test the newbie's mettle and give them training with the equipment.
There are several things to note concerning the enclosed videos.
A suicide occurred on the property. A young man while driving with his best friend had a wreck. The friend was killed and buried at the IOOF. Several months later the body of the friend was found at the IOOF grave where he had killed himself in remorse and grief. The person buried at the IOOF name was
Andrew Dale Sawyer. During our investigation we found the grave and spent some time at this location. Very faint EMF activity was recorded here.
While investigating an area close to the one just mentioned we found a tombstone
which was cold to the touch however had a warm spot near the base and center on the back side of the stone. I shot this with a infrared camera and a white spot shows on the stone which was not visible to the eye.
We also found several weak EVP experiences which are recorded in the following videos. These were recorded at a ruined house near the
cemetery which has been torn down and only the foundation remains. Local newspaper accounts describe suspected satanic rituals took place at this house.
