Background:  Store customers stated they felt presences on the second floor of the store.  A few sensitive customers informed the store owner that there are three spirits within the store…the spirits being a man, woman and a small girl.  Pregnant customers reported feeling an unseen person touching their belly…which unnerved them and caused them to quickly leave the store.  A store employee stated several years ago while standing outside looking though the glass into the store she saw figures dressed in early 1920’s clothing sitting at the counter.  There was no one in the store at that time.

Findings:

  Year                Business Name

1997-1996       On the Square (Antiques, gifts)

1996-1991       Decades (Antiques)

Earlier phone books or city directories are not available.  A microfiche search of old 1920’s newspapers advertisements did not yield additional information.  However, additional searching may produce more information.
