Subject:  April 04, 2009 Fort McKavett Investigation

General: Independent paranormal investigators Dario Connors and John Tracy and P.I.E. (Paranormal Investigations & Eliminations) members Bill Pappin and Michelle Bennett investigated Fort McKavett , TX the evening of 4 April, 2009.  The investigation was set up by Dario.

In low laying areas close to water the ambient air temperature was cooler than noted above.  In the Fort McKavett cemetery we measured temperatures down to 65 degrees F.

A cold front started to blow in around 4:30 AM with wind gust up to 23 mph.  The wind chill made it seem colder than 74 degrees.  By 5:30 the temperature dropped lower than the ending temperature noted above.

Geo Weather:

Lunar:  Waxing Gibbous 71% of full

Solar X-rays:  Normal

Geomagnetic Field:  Quiet

Possible Increase of AC (Anomalous Cognition) activity LST (Local Sidereal Time) 13.5 to 18.9 was about 0200 to 0700 April 5 local time as applied to our investigation timeline.

Timeline         Event

09:00 PM        Start group investigation in the cemetery

10:30 PM        Begin first team investigations of Fort McKavett

12:30 AM        Teams meet back at Barracks

01:00 AM        Begin second team investigation of Fort. McKavett

02:30 AM        Teams meet back at Barracks

02:50 AM        Set up camcorders in HQ building.

03:00 AM        Group investigation of Fort McKavett

04: 30 AM       End group investigation

Findings:  The group successfully recorded several EVPs of interest…and several other events happened…which are:

a. Michelle records an EVP which sounds like an animal grow behind Bill’s car which was parked next to the barracks where the group stayed.  (See attached audio file named “ByCars”).  Both Michelle and Bill did not hear this grow at the time it was recorded.

b. During the first team investigation Dario and John saw a shadow figure.  Dario saw a figure inside the old hospital building next to the morgue on the way down to the kiln area.  About 45 minutes later while standing next to the morgue and facing the hospital breezeway, John saw a shadow in the shape of a person moving right to left across the breezeway from one building to another.  While taking a photo an EVP was recorded.  John says,”flash” and then a EVP is heard saying “Inside” (see attached audio file named “JT-D-18d”).  On the way back to the barracks Dario saw a man shaped shadow moving between the Headquarters buildings and the Barracks we stayed at.

c. Later that night during the group investigation in the morgue the entire group heard what sounded like a woman’s voice.  (See Bill’s audio file “Morgue” and Michelle’s audio file “LastSession002CLEANED”).

Bill:  “How old are you…are you a young man…are you in your teens”?

Bill:  “That’s me moving around”.

EVP:  Then the sound of a woman’s voice (moan?) is heard.

Dario: “What was that?”

John:  “Sounds like a woman?”

Bill:  “I think it was Dario”.

Dario: “No it wasn’t me”.

Michelle: “It wasn’t me”.

d. Bill experience Battery drainage.  Battery drainage can be the results of energy being drained from equipment power sources.  The theory being a ghost/spirit takes this energy and uses it to manifest activity that we can feel, see or hear.

e. Several other events happened.  The zooming out of a camcorder by itself was debunked based on equipment testing.  Several other voice recordings of possible EVP were made.  However, the best ones are included in this report.  A photo of interest was taken in the morgue of a shadow figure outside the window.  Most likely the shadow is a group member who was standing next to the window, but then again…maybe not.  The photo should be compared on site inside the morgue with a person standing outside the window before the photo can be considered as evidence of paranormal activity.  Therefore, the photo isn’t included in this report and is still waiting to be debunked.

Conclusion:  The above findings show there is some level of paranormal activity at Fort McKavett .   It would be interesting to compare these investigation findings with other group’s findings to determine if lunar phases, geomagnetic field and solar X-rays impact levels of paranormal activity.  Would an investigation during the full/new moon phases result in increased documented activity?  Do solar X-rays and the earth’s geomagnetic field impact the levels of paranormal activity?  This team’s next Fort McKavett investigation should be conducted during the full moon and/or new moon phase with the same equipment so a comparison of results can be made.  Furthermore, it is theorized that recording for EVP during certain periods of Local Sidereal Time may have better results.  The above morgue EVP recording was made during such a time.

Many thanks are given to the Fort McKavett staff for their generosity allowing us to investigate this great place and to Dario for setting this investigation up for us.
